Festoon Pole and Base Plate Hire

Our festoon pole and base plate hire kit provides a weighted base plate for delicate, hard or concrete surfaces where the ground stake kit is not an option.

Solid Surface Pole Kit Includes:

1 x 3.2m Structural Aluminium Pole
1 x Clamp and Shackle Assembly
1 x 20kg Base Plate and Pole Spigot

NOTE: 10kg weight bags shown in photos are for example only and NOT included unless a quantity is selected when adding this item to the hire cart. You can choose between 10kg weight bags for easy handling or 20kg weight bricks which can stack together on top of the base plate.

We recommend the following weights for the spans listed below:

The minimum weight limits below are for parallel (pole to pole) layouts only. If you are creating a zig zag pattern with your lighting, you will need to double the weight on the base plate. For example, a 10m zig zag means two lines are coming off one pole, totalling 20m, requiring double the weight of a single 10m run.

0 to 5m Span of Standard Festoon
- Minimum 10kg Per Base Plate

5 to 10m Span of Standard Festoon
- Minimum 20kg Per Base Plate

10m to 15m Span of Standard Festoon
- Minimum 40kg Per Base Plate

15m to 20m Span of Standard Festoon
- Minimum 60kg Per Base Plate

WARNING: Failure to stabilise a base plate and pole kit using at least the minimum recommended amount of weight bags can result in serious injury and/or property damage. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that there is an adequate amount of weight placed on base plates to prevent poles falling over under tension. Brisbane Event Lighting accepts no responsibility for damages to property or injuries to people due to equipment that is hired and installed by the customer. It is the responsibility of the customer to provide safety to all guests and/or audiences when hiring and installing equipment.

IMPORTANT Transport Information: Due to the 3.2m length of the lighting pole, a suitably sized vehicle will be required to transport it safely if you choose to pick up your order from our warehouse. Please measure 3.2m on or in your vehicle or trailer before arriving to collect to ensure that you can transport the equipment appropriately.
